A homemade quick and easy plasma cutting table for about 20. It all started when i was visiting jody our tech editor in tucson az and we were working on a few projects for the magazine. So with the plasma cutter i wanted a 4ft x 4ft cutting area and the problem is a gantry needs room at the front and back and left to right so i knew the base would need to be 5ft wide and 5ft deep to. But now that i have your attention this weeks video is about building another downdraft plasma cutting table.

I do not supply kits for these. I see this a lot when parts are to be welded together. Generally when i build i tend to look at the whole project and i identify the problems that will limit the build and then i build around that. Note the copious use of tab and slot construction.

I see your project here in my very near future and if i can do it then i will attempt to see where i can make changes to increase cutting sizes. A bigger work surface removable slats and a telescoping handle that can be used to support short lengths of angle iron etc. Also note that cutting out parts like this would be a perfect job for a plasma table or laser or waterjet.
